Materials

• 14-inch round signs are cut from 1/8″ Baltic birch plywood for durability and outdoor suitability when properly sealed.

• 7-inch round signs are cut from 1/8″ Baltic birch plywood or MDF.

  • MDF is for indoor use only and is not suitable for outdoor display.

Material selection is based on size, design, and intended use.

Outdoor Use & Sealing

If your sign will be displayed outdoors, it must be sealed with an appropriate outdoor sealant, such as:

• Polycrylic, or Rust-Oleum clear sealant spray (or similar exterior-rated product)

⚠️ Please note: We are unable to spray sealants in the studio. Outdoor sealing must be completed at home after your project is finished.

Even when sealed, we recommend bringing your sign indoors during rain or severe weather, especially if it is directly exposed to the elements, to extend its life and prevent damage. Weather exposure may cause damage over time even when sealed.
